Using the Library

As a part of the USF System of Libraries, USF Sarasota-Manatee offers a variety of library services to students and faculty, in both physical and virtual formats. At the Sarasota campus, the Jane Bancroft Cook Library serves as a joint-use facility shared by New College and USFSM. Besides loaning out books and recordings, the Cook Library provides a place to study, work with classmates, pick up interlibrary loan orders, or get help from librarians.

Where is the library? When is it open?

The Cook Library is located at 5800 Bayshore Road, a 10 minute walk from the USFSM main building (click for directions). It is open 7 days a week, except on major holidays. Visit the Cook Library Hours page for an up to date schedule of weekly hours for the current semester or download the library schedule here.
