Publications Council
The Publications Council advises the Provost and the Senior Vice President for USF
Health or their designees on matters pertaining to recruiting suitable scholarly and
creative works for
publication and to decide which works to support with subvention. The counil also
serves as advisory board to the United Press of Florida when subvented manuscripts
are published by United Press of Florida.
Types of support from the Publications Council
The Publications Council may subvent the scholarly output of USF faculty members.
These may include journal publication charges, book publication charges, book chapter
publication charges, or fees for presentation or publication of creative works, where
appropriate. The request for subvention should be for an already accepted/contracted
work to be published/produced. Works that are under review or not yet submitted will
not be considered. The Publications Council does not support travel or registration
to conferences/symposia/meetings/congresses for presentation of research and also
does not support the purchase of already published works.
Timeline
The Publications Council meets once a semester to review applications.
Applications for Spring 2024 must be received by March 29, 2024.
