Dr. Noel Mark Noël has served with full faculty status of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, University of Kentucky – Lexington, Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Loyola University of Chicago, Indiana University Northwest, and currently resides at the University of South Florida – all are AASCB accredited. He previously worked several years as an economist/lobbyist for Philip’s Inc. (Gloeilampenfabrieken N.V.) Eindhoven, The Netherlands, where he conducted seminars, public relations, and lobbying for the Bureau of External Economic Relations relating Philips’ position to various European government agencies and
He received his Doctorate of Business Administration (D.B.A.) from the University of Kentucky – Lexington and later joined the business faculty. Dr. Noël served five years as principal and owner of BrandMetrics Inc. – a sales/marketing consulting and marketing research based company in Chicago, Illinois. His client successes included DDBO, Needham Advertising, Hershey, Leaf Confectionery, NutraSweet, Sanford Writing Instruments, LaSalle Bank, and AMOCO. He has been an owner/investor of several other small businesses.
His research interests are focused primarily on the measurement of quality, product design, benchmarking quality improvement programs, and consumer price perceptions. He has published numerous articles, proceedings, and presented papers at professional conferences.
He currently teaches a variety of undergraduate Marketing and MBA courses. Dr. Noël is a 2001 graduate of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Sarasota County program and actively serves on a number of Chamber councils. In 2009, he initiated authored and won a $277,250 grant for regional job creation with the collaboration of the Sarasota, Venice and other regional Chambers of Commerce as the prior Director of the GSSC’s Regional Business Resource Center.
