Students may choose eight (8) undergraduate information technology certificates. Students do not need to be enrolled in a degree program to obtain the certificate. Certificates are available to all majors, however, B.S.A.S. IT and B.S.I.T. degree-seeking students cannot obtain a certificate within the same area of concentration as their major. For students enrolled in an IT certificate program, the courses will count toward a B.S.A.S. IT or B.S.I.T. degree if students decided to pursue a degree at a later date.
Students must achieve a B- in each course for it to count toward the certificate. Certificate courses can be completed in one full year if the student takes all courses available each semester. Course equivalencies need approval from the college dean.
