SARASOTA, Fla. (Sept. 13, 2016) USF Sarasota-Manatee will hold an Open House for transfer students and prospective graduate students.

The event, at USFSM’s campus at 8350 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, is scheduled Thursday, Sept. 22, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Prospective USFSM students will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from Admissions and Career Services as well as staff and faculty from the campus’ four colleges: Business, Hospitality & Tourism Leadership, Liberal Arts & Social Sciences (including the School of Education) and Science & Mathematics.

“They can also learn about options for financial aid and whether, ultimately, USFSM is a good fit for them,” Assistant Director of Admissions Brandon Avery said.

Campus tours and refreshments will be offered as well.

The event comes as USFSM is rolling out several exciting programs and campus projects.

Among them, USFSM leaders last month unveiled a new Student Commons where students can study, exercise or simply relax and socialize in, and just this semester USFSM debuted its “Bridge to Engineering” program in which engineering students can study at USFSM’s campus for two years before transferring to USF’s College of Engineering in Tampa.
