SARASOTA, June 15, 2010 – The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee MBA graduates are among the best in the world. USFSM recently graduated 19 students from the MBA program who took part in the Major Field Test in Masters of Business Administration administered by ETS, a non-profit that develops, administers and scores more than 50 million tests annually in more than 180 countries and at over 9,000 locations worldwide. The USFSM MBA students scored in the 75th percentile overall, with a mean score of 257 out of a possible 300. ETS provides comparative data for this test, including data from 24,785 MBA students at 230 different institutions tested from February 2005 – June 2009. The national average for this test is 249.2.
The MBA students scored high in each individual category, as well: the 95th percentile in Management; the 75th percentile in Marketing; and the 65th percentile in Finance, Accounting and Strategic Integration. Colleges and universities such as the University of North Carolina, University of Texas, Xavier University, Indiana University, Penn State University, University of Illinois, University of Wisconsin, University of Tennessee, Clark Atlanta University, Rutgers University & Texas A & M University also participated in the testing and are all ranked in the Top 50 MBA programs in the country. “The result of the assessment validates the quality of the faculty delivering the program and the students enrolled in it,” said Dr. Robert Anderson, Dean of the College of Business at USFSM.
