The University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee in partnership with the Sarasota County Film & Entertainment Office will welcome Jacquelyn Reingold to the Selby Auditorium for a special film conversation on Jan. 8.
Reingold is a well-known writer for theatre, television and film and recently wrote for the NBC show SMASH and HBO’s Peabody Award winning IN TREATMENT. In addition to her hit series, Reingold has taught writing at New York University, Columbia University, Ohio University, Fordham University, Goddard College, the Stony Brook-Southampton Writers Conference, and Oberlin College.
“It is exciting that we live in such an arts-rich community. The faculty, in recognition of the power of the arts in educating children, adopted arts integration across the curriculum for every teacher, every principal and every educator who is prepared by the College of Education,” said Dr. Terry Osborn, dean of the College of Education at USF Sarasota-Manatee. “I think it is very fitting that the Sarasota County Film & Entertainment Office is holding its mixer on our campus. We are embracing the arts and the power of the creativity in this community.”
The special networking event will be held in the Selby Auditorium on the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus on Jan. 8 beginning at 5:50 p.m. The mixer will include hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available to those attending.
Those interested can register now until Jan. 6, or can purchase tickets at the door on the night of the event for 12 dollars.
