USFSM Welcomes Associate Director of Facilities Planning and Management

KevinTaterusUSF Sarasota-Manatee announces the hire of Kevin Taterus in the new position of associate director of facilities planning and management. His responsibilities include the management of campus facilities operations and maintenance functions as well as assisting in the management of minor construction projects. Taterus also assumes responsibility for the development and oversight of USFSM’s emergency preparedness and response programs.

“I am very excited to be part of the USFSM Facilities Planning and Management team,” said Taterus. “I look forward to supporting the department’s mission of successfully planning, designing, constructing and managing the physical environment here at USFSM.”

Taterus received his Bachelor of Science in facilities management from Ferris State University in Michigan. Following graduation, he worked as a facilities auditor in the Engineering and Operations Division of the Susquehanna Pennsylvania Area Regional Airport Authority. In 2002, he relocated to Florida to work in the design and construction industry. He spent the last eight years with Harvard Jolly Architects as a construction administrator for several middle and high schools in Charlotte County. Taterus is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional with a background in sustainable and environmentally responsible design practices, a Certified Construction Contract Administrator and a member of both the U.S. Green Building Council and International Facilities Management Association
