Staff Spotlight: Katrina Anderson

Katrina Anderson is an academic advisor in the Office of Student Services. Having been with USFSM for over a decade, Katrina walked us through some special talents of hers and her favorite things about working at USFSM.

Walk us through an average workday.
Meet with students who have scheduled an advising appointment or as a walk-in to discuss courses, program requirements and life choices.

What do you like most about your job?
I love the one-on-one interaction I have with each student and the individualized attention I am able to provide them.

 What’s the best thing about working at USFSM?
Watching the campus grow over the years! The BEST is yet to come!

Any special talents?
I am a praise and worship singer

 What do you like to do in your free time, on weekends?
Spend time with my children, cook and sleep!

Best moment in your life so far?
Becoming a first-time homeowner as a single mother on my oldest son’s birthday, May 26, 2016.
