SARASOTA, Fla. (Oct. 31, 2016) Brunch on the Bay, one of the most anticipated social events of the year, is just days away.
This year’s Brunch, scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the USF Sarasota-Manatee campus, 8350 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, will feature 20 of the region’s finest restaurants and food and beverage purveyors.
Speakers include USFSM Regional Chancellor Dr. Sandra Stone, USF System President Dr. Judy Genshaft and USF Athletic Director Mark Harlan. Michelle Crabtree and Amanda Horne are this year’s Brunch co-chairs.
Since 1994, Brunch on the Bay has been USFSM’s premiere social event, providing more $1.3 million to the university endowment and generating more than $1 million in direct college scholarships, including to first generation students who are the first in their families to attend college.
All of this is made possible through hundreds of generous individual and corporate donations made through ticket purchases, table sponsorships and direct gifts. The brunch itself occurs under a white tent amid the splendor of USFSM’s scenic campus on North Tamiami Trail.
This year’s restauranteurs are already getting preparations underway, so please come out and join us for an afternoon of fun, food and giving to a worthy cause.
