People: Group Tabs
People menu has a new design that displays access to user groups in the same page view. You will still see all users in the course as well as any existing group that had been created. Those groups will display on tabs.
Group Set Drop-Down Menu
When viewing a student group, you can easily change to another group page by simply clicking the drop-down arrow next to the group name.
Assignment Time Zone
If you manage courses in a time zone different than the local time zone, this update gives you the choice to pick from either one when you create an assignment.
Student View (Groups)
On the Groups page, students can view the different groups in their course. If they are members of a group, they can click on Visit link to access their group dashboard. They can see group member or search for people in a group.
Complete/Incomplete Assignments: When an assignment is graded with a complete or an incomplete, it will now reflect on the final grade. Before it did not.
Negative Points: Assignments now do not accept negative point values. Before, assignments were accepting negative points. Points must be recorded as a positive number.
Drop-down Menu Conversation: Conversations now display all users in drop-down menu. Before conversation would not display the full list if there were more than 20 users in the menu.
Question Bank Imports: Now all selected Question Banks are imported to Canvas.
Modules: Now when a module is published, all unpublished items within the module are also published and can be seen in all other areas of Canvas. Before, those items were not accessible in Assignments, Syllabus, Calendar, or Grades by students.
