“Community in Motion,” part of Festival sARTée, to be hosted by USF Sarasota-Manatee

On Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 5:30pm, the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee will host “Community in Motion” as part of Festival sARTée.  “Community in Motion” will be an original site specific, multi-media dance performance designed specially for the Clyde G. Nixon Courtyard at USF Sarasota-Manatee (USFSM).  It is choreographed by the award-winning Artistic Director of the Fuzión Dance Artists, Leymis Bolaños Wilmott.

Following the performance, Bonnie Greenball Silvestri, Senior Fellow for Arts, Culture and Civic Engagement for the Institute for Public Policy and Leadership (IPPL) at USFSM will lead a short Question & Answer forum with the choreographers, dancers and musicians to discuss the artistic process and the important theme of building community through the arts.

Tickets for Community in Motion are available for $15.00 each by registering online here or by emailing Holly at hlundgre@sar.usf.edu.   Students from USFSM, Ringling College of Art & Design, New College and State College of Florida are invited to attend for free by presenting a current college ID and must also email Holly to register.  Children under the age of 12 are also invited to attend for free.
