The criteria to earn the scholarship are a 1,220 SAT score or above (or an ACT score of 26) and a weighted 4.0 high school grade point average. Students must maintain a 3.5 GPA while enrolled in the program to be eligible for the annual $2,500 scholarship. When combined with the state-funded Bright Futures Scholarship that high-achieving students in Florida are eligible for, the total amount of scholarships will more than cover annual tuition and fees, which amount to approximately $6,000 each year.
