The Florida Center for Partnerships for Arts Integrated Teaching (PAInT) is a statewide Center at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee (USFSM) that provides the infrastructure for university partnerships supporting arts-integrated teaching.
The Center offers training for pre-service teachers and professional development for practicing teachers to increase their capacity to deliver high-quality instruction that integrates the arts into classrooms.
Partnering with other institutions, the Center conducts basic and applied research on policies and practices related to arts-integrated teaching, including publication in the peer-reviewed book series on arts integrated education.
The Center also provides technical assistance and support, upon request, to the Florida Department of Education, Florida school districts, private schools, charter schools, and educator preparation programs in the implementation of evidence-based, arts-integrated instruction, assessments, programs, and professional development.
Through USFSM’s Office of Professional and Continuing Education (PACE), PAInT collaborates with arts organizations and Florida school districts in the development and dissemination of online courses that contain outcome-based practices related to arts integrated instruction, assessment, curricula, and programs.
